IT’S SAUSAGE TIME

currywurstundpommes.jpg

Germany‘s most popular sausage of course is the curried sausage. The curried sausage was invented by Herta Heuwer on September 4,1949 in Berlin. Over the years, it spread like wildfire throughout Germany and even achieved cult status. Per annum, 59m curried sausages are consumed.

Just like the curried sausage, the food tray also has achieved cult status. Since 2009, there has been a curried sausage museum in the heart of Berlin where you can find out more information about this cult sausage and its paper food tray.

In 2009 Hosti International celebrated its 60th anniversary and currently produces 200 million food trays per year.

Many people think that nowadays disposable tableware and ecology don’t fit together, but this isn’t true. For the production of food trays we exclusively use natural raw materials of environmentally friendly recyclable material.
In our production halls the cult food tray gets its popular shape.
