Company history

“Europe’s largest manufacturer of paper plates” with a capacity of more than 2 billion plates per year. Our HOSTI family business now consists of 3 companies with a total of 185 employees. Our group turnover in 2022 (HOSTI D, HOSTI CZ, Zechel) was approximately EUR 45 million.

HOSTI has been carbon neutral site in Pfedelbach since 2022.

We receive the Nordic Swan Ecolabel for selected materials.

Hermanus Johannes Rubrech joins the management.

What a great honour, the municipality of Pfedelbach is renaming our street after our company founder.

Opening of a new production facility and company founded HOSTI CZ s.r.o. in Hronov, Czech Republic.

Controlling interest in Pfiff-kuss GmbH & Co. KG in 2008 and takeover of the remaining shares in July 2011.

The company’s founder Emil Stickel dies at the age of 93.

We have been certified according to the FSC®-standard since April 2010.

2009

60th anniversary of HOSTI. We are the largest paper plate manufacturer in Europe.

Takeover of Zechel Pappteller GmbH from Altlußheim with 25 employees on January 1, 2005.

Mr. Hansjörg Stickel joins

Quality management certification achieved to ISO 9001.

Purchase of the Oertz & Co. paper plate factory in Hamburg, including 11 Gietz paper plate machines, with a turnover of 1.2 million euros.
