Establishment of the company on July 1, 1949, first paperboard plate forming machine.

Emil and Eva Stickel at the trade fair in Frankfurt.
1959
Production in Pfedelbach.
1963
Accession of the two eldest sons Siegfried and Gunter Stickel into the company.
1979
Distribution of product lines under the brand name HOSTI. Start of the construction of our new company building in the industrial area in Pfedelbach.
1986
The production hall is expanded to an area of about 4,500 sqm.
2002
Purchase of the Oertz & Co. paper plate factory in Hamburg, including 11 Gietz paper plate machines, with a turnover of 1.2 million euros.
2002
Quality management certification achieved to ISO 9001.
2003
Mr. Hansjörg Stickel of the 3rd generation joins the management on July 1, 2003.
2005
Takeover of Zechel Pappteller GmbH from Altlußheim with 25 employees on January 1, 2005.
2009
60th anniversary of HOSTI. We are the largest paper plate manufacturer in Europe.
2010
We have been certified according to the FSC®-standard since April 2010.
2011
The company’s founder Emil Stickel dies at the age of 93.
2011
Controlling interest in Pfiff-kuss GmbH & Co. KG in 2008 and takeover of the remaining shares in July 2011.
2014
Opening of a new production facility and company founded HOSTI CZ s.r.o. in Hronov, Czech Republic.
